A: <\/b>If you would like to become a member of CONALTI\u00a9, download the application form (Spanish only)<\/strong><\/a><\/a><\/span> fill the form, and send it together with all<\/strong> the required documents to admisiones@conalti.org<\/a><\/span>.
<\/strong><\/span><\/b>The Admissions Committee will evaluate applications based on the criteria outlined in the association's bylaws.<\/p>\n

Anyone wishing to join CONALTI\u00a9<\/strong><\/b> must fulfill one of the following requirements:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. have a bachelor's degree in translation and\/or interpretation from an accredited local or international university; or<\/li>\n
  2. demonstrate a minimum professional experience of:
    2.1. four (4) years\u2014consecutive or non-consecutive\u2014of full-time professional translation practice; or
    2.2. two hundred (200) days\u2014consecutive or non-consecutive\u2014of professional interpretation practice; or<\/li>\n
  3. have a publication, whether a translation or a work on translation, interpretation, or a related field.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    CONALTI\u00a9 does not require an entrance exam. The membership term is a fixed calendar year: January 1st through December 31st. The calendar year cycle applies to all new memberships and annual dues payments.<\/p>\n

    Q: Is CONALTI\u00a9 a regulatory or certifying body for translators and interpreters?<\/strong><\/b>
    A: <\/b>CONALTI\u00a9 is a professional association that brings together professional translators and interpreters. It does not have the powers of a mandatory regulatory body\u2014such as a Bar Association or Medical Board\u2014nor does it act as a certifying entity. While based in Caracas, Venezuela, we operate without a physical headquarters, maintaining an online presence on Facebook, Instagram, and X.     Q:CONALTI\u00a9 <\/strong>Is CONALTI\u00a9 a language service provider?<\/b>
    A: <\/b>CONALTI\u00a9 is a professional association that brings together professional translators and interpreters. We are not a language service provider (LSP) or an agency.<\/p>\n

    A: <\/b>Yes, the CONALTI\u00a9 logo and other distinctive trademarks of the association are intellectual property owned by Colegio Nacional de Licenciados en Traducci\u00f3n e Interpretaci\u00f3n, duly protected in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela by the Autonomous Intellectual Property Service (SAPI).<\/p>\n
