D\u00e9claration de la fit sur la crise en Ukraine<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As the international voice of translators, terminologists and interpreters, the International Federation of Translators (FIT) is a non-political organisation mandated under Article 4i) of its Bylaws to \u201cuphold the moral and material interests of translators, terminologists and interpreters throughout the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of our colleagues are impacted in Ukraine and Russia during what is a very difficult time. FIT Council would like to express its solidarity, support and deep concern for their lives and working conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Translators and interpreters have always played a key role in connecting nations and in fostering peace, understanding and development (as recognised by the UN General Assembly on 24 May 2017 in UN Resolution A\/RES\/71\/288) and it is our hope that they may soon be able to resume the important work they do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En tant que voix des traducteurs, terminologues et interpr\u00e8tes sur la sc\u00e8ne mondiale, la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration internationale des traducteurs (FIT) est une organisation apolitique qui a notamment pour mandat, en vertu de l\u2019article 4i) de ses Statuts<\/em>, de \u00ab d\u00e9fendre les droits moraux et mat\u00e9riels des traducteurs, terminologues et interpr\u00e8tes \u00e0 travers le monde. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bon nombre de nos confr\u00e8res et cons\u0153urs traversent une p\u00e9riode tr\u00e8s difficile en Ukraine et en Russie. Le Conseil de la FIT tient \u00e0 les assurer de sa solidarit\u00e9 et de son soutien et \u00e0 exprimer sa profonde inqui\u00e9tude pour leur vie et leurs conditions de travail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les traducteurs et les interpr\u00e8tes ont toujours jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le essentiel dans les efforts pour relier les nations et favoriser la paix, la compr\u00e9hension mutuelle et le d\u00e9veloppement (comme l\u2019a reconnu l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale des Nations Unies le 24 mai 2017 dans sa R\u00e9solution A\/RES\/71\/288). Nous esp\u00e9rons qu\u2019ils pourront bient\u00f4t reprendre leur travail si important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
